Coupling Half Manufacturing

Manufactured precision coupling halves for a pump manufacturer's order of flexible coupling sets. The coupling halves were for connecting pump shafts to motor shafts in various industrial pump applications.

The project required tight control over bore tolerances, keyway alignment, and face perpendicularity to ensure smooth power transmission and minimal vibration in the pump-motor assembly.

Components Manufactured:

• Pump Side Coupling Halves (20 units): Bore to pump shaft diameter H7 tolerance, keyway as per pump shaft key size, face machining for elastomeric insert fit
• Motor Side Coupling Halves (20 units): Bore to motor shaft diameter H7 tolerance, keyway as per motor shaft key size
• Sizes: Various sizes from 28 mm bore to 75 mm bore covering pump range from 5 HP to 150 HP

Quality Assurance:

Each coupling half was inspected for bore tolerance, keyway fit, concentricity between bore and outer diameter, and face perpendicularity to bore axis within 0.03 mm. Coupling halves were matched and marked as sets before dispatch.
