Project
Industrial Pulley Machining
Client: Conveyor Manufacturer
Precision boring and machining of industrial pulleys for a conveyor system manufacturer. The project involved machining of 15 conveyor pulleys including drive pulleys, tail pulleys, and bend pulleys for a material handling system installation.
Each pulley required accurate bore machining for bearing fit, keyway cutting for shaft connection, and face machining for crown profile and lagging surface preparation.
Work Performed:
- Drive Pulleys (5 units): 250 mm diameter, 120 mm bore H7 tolerance, 40 mm keyway, crown face machining
- Tail Pulleys (5 units): 200 mm diameter, 100 mm bore H7 tolerance, 32 mm keyway, flat face machining
- Bend Pulleys (5 units): 160 mm diameter, 80 mm bore H7 tolerance, 28 mm keyway
- Additional: All pulley faces machined for rubber lagging application, drilling for lagging retention holes
Quality Checks:
Bore tolerance verified with plug gauges, concentricity between bore and outer diameter checked, keyway fit verified with Go/No-Go gauges. All pulleys were match-marked for assembly identification.
